A HUGE thank you to the Mayfield Band Boosters for hosting and volunteering to run tonight's band lock-in.  This event is made possible by the parent volunteers that are staffing and supervising the event.

Students that are participating in the lock-in must adhere to the following expectations.

Student drop-off/arrival: 6p-6:30p at door number 19

Events/Fun For the night: Students will be in the field house first floor/court area only.  Food and drinks will be served at the concession stand next to the auditorium.  

Students are not permitted in locations other than the field house courts, and the concession stand. Students are not permitted past the auditorium hallway or anywhere else in the school building.

Student departure/pick-up: 10:30p-10:45p at door number 19  (All students must be out of the building by 10:45pm)

There will be TV's setup if you'd like to bring video games, there will also be other games and sports setup.

LETS CELEBRATE A JOB WELL DONE THIS YEAR, HAVE FUN, AND MAKE SOME MEMORIES!

6pm-6:30pm - Student drop-off and check-in (if arriving late, form must be filled out)

6pm-10:30pm - Fun/Food/Games

10:30pm-10:45pm - Student sign-out and pick up

Students, if you plan to attend, please fill out the link below.  If you have a change of plans and are able to attend, you will be allowed to check-in at the door.

We will have our kick-off orientation and information meeting on Wednesday, May 27th, at 6:30pm in the HS Cafeteria.

This is an important meeting for the upcoming marching band season.  We will cover important details of the schedule, expectations, uniforms, and much more.

ALL STUDENTS & THEIR PARENTS/GUARDIANS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND

Clinics and Placement Auditions have officially been scheduled!

ALL 8th-11th grade drummers that are playing in marching band are required to attend BOTH clinics and auditions.

Tuesday, May 26th, 5:30p-7:30p - DRUMLINE CLINIC (HS Auditorium)
Thursday, May 28th, 5:30p-finished - DRUMLINE AUDITIONS (HS Auditorium)

Please open and read through each of the three documents below.

To be clear: ALL students must play a placement audition, this is to determine what instrument you will placed on.  This does not affect a student's ability to participate in band.

We are very excited to work with all of you this year!  Let’s meet for a very short meeting this Wednesday, 05/13, at 5pm in the HS Auditorium. If you cannot make it, please let me know. I understand it is somewhat short notice.  lgeorge@mayfieldschools.org

Wednesday Tentative Agenda:  

1. We’re a team. Let’s talk about what that means, including general rules. 
2. How to order shorts, (bows), tights/leggings (Boots/sneakers and poms are the only other mandatory purchases).
3. Recreate group in parent square (adding your names made it hard to use!)
4. Possibly having the captains make a student only group text. 
5. Fight song????

If we stay focused, the meeting should be over by 6.

The Finale is expected to begin around 6:30pm.

Food will be provided directly following the show by the Mayfield Band Boosters!

In addition to providing food, boosters will also have some fun for the students in field house.
