Parent Reservation Numbers Available 2/29

Good News Disney Families,
 
For those adults who booked their trip via our travel company, you can get your reservation numbers/ tickets and packet of information for the adults only on Monday, Feb 29th prior to the Band Boosters meeting. Students cannot pick up this information for their parents and the information/tickets for students will be given to the students upon arrival in Florida so that they will not be misplaced or lost.
 
Laura Sanford will be in the band room at 6:30pm until the start of the meeting to hand this info out.

This information will have the necessary reservation number needed to book a fast pass and dining reservations. Hope to see you there!

Parade through the Halls tomorrow!

The rumors are true. Tomorrow, Friday, February 26th, we will be parading through the halls to celebrate the basketball team's recent playoff berth.

Meet at 7:10am in Mr. Fancher's band room to be ready to step off at 7:15. Hope to see you all there!

Solo & Ensemble Congrats and Thank you!

First, I would like to congratulate all of our performers from Solo & Ensemble Contest on February 13th. Special recognition goes to Jesse Cvelbar, Duncan Daugherty, Jason Gugick, Trenton Lam, Kylee Ley, Alan Shvartsman, Jessica Sieg, Sophie Stenroos, and Meghan Yeager, who all received a superior rating on their respective performances!

I would also like to thank all of the student and adult volunteers. Without their assistance, this event would have been impossible. Not only that, but I have received multiple compliments from judges, parents, and other directors from all over the area about the kindness and helpfulness of our volunteer staff.

Again, I sincerely thank everyone who played a part in making this event a success, and I look forward to hosting again next year!

Solo & Ensemble Volunteers

On Saturday, February 13th approximately 33 schools will be sending over 1200 musicians to MHS for the OMEA Solo and Ensemble Contest.  Many of these will more than likely bring a support team of at least one family member.  Needless to say we will be hosting a vast number of people here at MHS.  We need your help to make this event a shining example of the pride we have here in Mayfield.
I have included two Sign-up Genius links to facilitate your volunteer intentions.  We need both adults and band members; however, only adults need sign up on this website.  The band members will be signing up with Mr. Fancher.
We have broken the day into 2-hour shifts.  Please be generous with your time.  While we have the time marked off, please feel free to sign up for more than one shift, if available.
We are in need of approximately 20 people to help set up on Friday night beginning at 4:00 pm.  With the right number of volunteers we can have set up done rather quickly.  If this is something you can/want to be a part of please follow this link:

We will need many more hands on Saturday.  The adult functions are:
-      Concessions: selling food,
-      Hall monitors/greeters: stationed throughout school and particularly at doors to help people find their way to and from the various areas,
-      Room monitors: in charge of keeping the room running in a timely, organized and quiet manner (we have made this a 4-hour time commitment due to the nature of the position).
When making your time selections please write your preference of duty in the notes section.  We will do our best to honor these requests but flexibility will be very much appreciated based on the needs of the event.  Saturday signups can be found by following this link:

Small Disney Itinerary Update

The Disney Itinerary has been updated regarding our time change for the "You're Instrumental" clinic. A cancellation has opened up a 6:00 time slot, which we will be using rather than our orginal 9:15pm slot. This also allows all students to view the "IllumiNations" lights show at Epcot. The new itinerary can be found on the Disney Page, and is also linked below.

Final DIsney Meeting - Monday March 14th @ 7pm

We will be holding our final Disney Trip Meeting on Monday, March 14th at 7:00pm in the MHS Cafeteria. Here we will go over specific details of what to pack (and not to pack), truck loading procedures, double checking uniform parts, final itinerary, etc. All participants are required to attend.
