February Booster Meeting

Dear Pride of Mayfield families!  
 Please take a moment to read this email thoroughly, as it contains important information!
 We invite you to join our upcoming Pride of Mayfield Band Boosters meeting via Zoom. Attached, you will find the agenda for February 24, 2025, along with the minutes from January's meeting.
 
Meeting Date: Monday 2/24/25
Time:  7:00 p.m.  
Location:  ZOOM, see link at bottom of page.

We are looking to fill several positions for next year's executive board and committee chairs. Below are the available roles. We encourage you to consider volunteering! 
Open roles:
 


The Second Vice President/Volunteers - shall work with the First Vice President to schedule volunteers to work in the concession stand as needed during all home varsity football games, Saturday JV and Freshman football games, and at various functions throughout the school year as deemed necessary by the Organization
Corresponding Secretary
Send emails to band parents as needed to update them on booster activities.  Time requirements: 30minutes - 1 hour to set up the distribution list at the start of the year and a few minutes each month to send out the monthly meeting reminders. 
 
1st VP of Concessions: (to work with Jody)
 The First President/Concessions shall perform the duties commensurate with the managing of the concession stand during all home varsity football games, Saturday JV and Freshman football games, order all Pepsi products. He/she shall preside in the absence of the President and shall assume the duties and responsibilities of the President. 
 
Concession Assistants – The Concession Assistants, under direction of the 1st VP of Concessions.  Shopping and ordering for all Home football games, including Varsity, JV, and Freshman.
 
Uniforms - Coordinate issuing of uniforms, recording of uniforms to students, coordinating uniform replacement, cleaning, and collection of uniforms at the end of the year
 
Accessories - Responsible for coordinating order of all accessory band items, including collecting, and recording orders and distribution of items.
 Spirit Wear - Coordinate the Spirit Wear orders, promote, advertise, and delivery of Spirit Wear as needed.
Hospitality - The Hospitality Chair is present at each home game.  The Chair greets the visiting band(s) and Directors. The Chair will show the band(s) to their seats, and important areas of the stadium.  Time requirement about 1 hour before each home game. You will meet the visiting bus and walk the visiting band to the stands, they usually arrive between 5:30-6:30pm.  
 Buttons - This Chair is responsible for coordinating the making of the buttons of the band members and handing them out to the parents at the game.
 Social Media Chair - Social media chair will be responsible for posting pictures, updates, and support for Mayfield events, with approval from the President.
 Fundraising - Assist in the coordination of fundraising events to support the Pride of Mayfield Bands with the 2nd Vice President of Volunteers.

Get Involved!

Hello Pride of Mayfield Families,
 
During our January meeting, we discussed the open positions for the upcoming year and provided a brief overview. Now is the perfect time to get involved! We achieve wonderful things for our program and the band students, with our goal being to maintain excellence and support for the Band program. Thank you for all your efforts in keeping this program strong.
 
Attached, you will find the nomination form. Please email your nominations to Kelly at [email protected] by Sunday, February 23rd. This will allow her to compile the slate for presentation at the Band Boosters Meeting on Monday, February 24th.
Below are some of the key positions open for the 2025/26 school year. If you are interested in any position listed on the nomination form, please complete the form, and return it to Kelly:

Holiday Band Concert

Hello Wildcats,

This is a friendly reminder that our Winter Band Concert is this Wednesday, December 18th, at 7pm in the HS Auditorium.

Call time is 6:40pm.  Please call to your symphonic band rehearsal room and seat.  Dress is white on top, black on the bottom, unless you are in Jazz/Wind ensemble.  If you are in one of those groups your dress is all black.

Band/Choir Trip Fundraiser

Hello Wildcats!

The Band and Choir will be holding a fundraiser for next year's trip!  This one is super easy, it is dropped shipped from Stoller directly to the buyer.  Students and families asked for a fundraiser that would work for family/friends out of the area, HERE IT IS!!

Sales start today, ordering will close on December 2nd.

We hope to announce the trip very soon.  The trip will take place during/near spring break of the 25/26 school year!

​Hello PRIDE Band and Auxiliary Families! 

This Friday October 25th is our final regular season game for the 2024 season! Hard to believe that it's time for our awesome Halloween Show! We have plenty of Volunteer Opportunities in Concessions. 

There will be lots of spooky fun to be had! 

The home games provide a significant portion of our funds that go towards many of our initiatives that help the kids, such as scholarships, water for games and parades, pizza and snacks for after the Columbus Day parade, and many other things.

Senior Band Night Escort Registration

Hello Seniors & Senior Families,

This week is senior band night!!
We are excited to welcome all of the senior parents out to the field this Friday for our pre-game show.  Seniors and their parents/guardians will be recognized.  Please fill out the form indicating who will be presented/escorting their senior student.  Please fill this form out by this Wednesday, 10/16.

SENIOR NAME/PARENT FORM

Parents/guardians being recognized with the students should meet on the home side track at 6:25pm.  You will be greeted by members of the band boosters.

Volunteers for Senior Band Night

​Hello PRIDE Band and Auxiliary Families! 

This Friday, October 18th, is SENIOR BAND NIGHT! An important tradition that honors the Band and Auxiliary students, and their families! 

We will need a lot of people to work the concessions and help with uniforms, since the parents of our seniors are going to be busy! Everyone, this would be the game to volunteer for.   We will need a lot of people to make this night a success! There's something for everyone, uniforms before or after the game, all matter of help before/during/after the game and even the fun of grilling!

Volunteers Needed for Homecoming

Hello PRIDE of Mayfield Band and Auxiliary Families!

This Friday is HOMECOMING! It is also Band and Auxiliary ALUMNI NIGHT! We are going to have many families out there together, which will be pretty amazing! We need many volunteers for this game, a fair number of our concessions volunteers every week are alumni parents (including parents whose own children are alumni and they still volunteer with us). We are going to need all hands on deck for this exciting event!
