Band camp Thursday, July 24th, will be cancelled due to the forecasted extreme heat indexes. Please stay cool, drink lots of water, and rest up for Friday.
Fun 'n' Stuff 6:30p-9:30p is still a FULL GO, make sure to purchase tickets by Wednesday, 07/23. Band camp starts Wednesday, 07/23
Every member of The PRIDE of Mayfield is expected to attend each and every day of band camp for the entire instructional day! Absences affect the whole band, each person has an important part in the music and drill that can't be properly practiced when members are missing! All absences are to be EMAILED to Mr. Treiber following the handbook procedures. REMIND messages will not be properly marked. (This is honesty from Mr. Treiber, I have a system and REMIND messages get buried and I have no good way to review them) 8:30a - Students are on campus in their call location ready to be addressed for the day! 12p-1p (1:30p if focused and working hard) - Lunch 4:30p - Students will be released from camp for the day (5pm if necessary) Come prepared! Water - refillable water bottle, drink LOTS of water Sunscreen - we will be out in the sun Appropriate clothing - loose fitting light colored clothing, hats to shade faces Appropriate footwear - closed toed tennis/walking/sneaker shoes Instrument - with all additional accessories necessary to be ready to play Flip folder - every student must have a flip folder with enough windows for all music Lyre - an appropriate lyre to attach music to your instrument Pencil - to mark music and drill All the best, Mr. Treiber, Ms. Ochocki & The PRIDE of Mayfield Staff Hello PRIDE,
The band booster parents will be fitting uniforms for ALL band members next Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Please see the times below, ALL students in marching band are required to attend their uniform fitting times to be sure we are looking good for band pictures on Friday, 08/01, and for the remainder of the season. All students should plan to arrive at 6pm prepared to be patient and polite while the parents work to fit everyone. Depending on how smoothly it goes all students should be done within 90 minutes. All current 8th-11th grade students in the band program need to click on the link and fill out the Show Shirt order form. The shirt is provided at NO cost to the students but we do need accurate sizes. Please fill this out ASAP. 8th graders on the trip, please try to take a minute to fill this out.
